woman: i did not plan on being at this bar for as long as i have been.
nick's thoughts: she meant butt. now she wants me to ask her to take her home.
nick: oh. why would you want to leave this place? there is a man coyote uglying.

its been a while since ive just unloaded a mountain of text onto a screen through the simultaneous action of synapses and nerves firing from my brain along a series of coils to my fingertips that touch a keyboard. ive always found this particular behavior cathartic and certainly catharsis is necessary from time to time as decompression is certainly as necessary as deconstruction. but i digress. ive been meaning to write a poem or a story or a comic or something for the last couple of months and i havent. im scum. and i think you and i both know that i mean that. so the rule of a freewrite is that i am not allowed to stop writing. stop writing. stop writing. stop writing. ive been reading modernists and i love it. william carlos williams makes me feel like ive accomplished something when i pull my pithy poetry out of the book and read it to myself. certainly, hes done something i can do and have done and will do again. in english there is no future tense of any verbs. i think it makes us short sighted but explains our focus on the here and now. planning is central to the art of war. you must not under estimate your opponents strengths.
arrah and the ferns make music and i listen to it. the picture you and i are looking at above this here conversation is one of my mom's dogs. i named her claire after claire whatever-her-name-is from the resident evil games. my mom loved it: the pug zombie hunter. as you can tell by the picture, claire is certainly an active girl.
maybe im a modernist and not a post modernist as i once believed, but then am i behind the times?

so my mind has been blown, here today, guys. earlier, i was watching an episode of pee-wee's playhouse on adult swim, as is the 1405 custom. the thing about pee-wee's playhouse is that it has about a billion guest stars. laurence fishburne was cowboy curtis. phil hartman was captain carl. nick park did all of the penny cartoons.

so i've been having fun with the GIMP (Gnutella Image Manipulation Program not a freaky guy in leather) and this is one of the first things ive done with it. i liked it and thought it was appropriate for ETC.

anyway, i have a meeting with the SEA board tomorrow. thats some kind of student branch of the NEA. that means im moving up in the world and stuff. I dont know how i feel about it right now, but it seems cool.

ooo im listening to punk rock again. i feel like high school. im all like "JAWBREAKER! THEY ARE AWESOME!" then i stomp around in my room yelling "RIDE JOHNNY RIDE!" like glen danzig from the Misfits.
